I have to admit, I was a bit taken aback at the initial cost of this cutter at $27.40 without shipping. I was trying to match an old Fuller I have had for many years that has seen much service and has been flawless in operation.
I don’t have any experience with the Ridgid 32910, but at first glance, it is twice the tool the Fuller is. The screw is as smooth as butter and very straight with no wobble from tracks or threads. The tool is twice as heavy as the old Fuller and this usually shows quality with any tool. The body is machined cast with a good finish. It comes with a reamer which was very important to me, as I do a lot of copper work. There is also an extra cutter in the turn knob that is held down with a cross recess(Phillips head)screw.
The only thing lacking, is a pouch to hold the tool which came with the Fuller.
I guess a quart ziploc will keep out the crud.
This is a very nice tool that looks like it will be around long after I am gone, and will most likely not be appreciated by the next recipient.
