Question by Angie: Is there a way to repaint bathroom fixtures?
When we moved into our house, the main bathroom had all harvest gold fixtures. Over the years, we’ve replaced the tub and sink. I don’t really want to replace the toilet, but it looks a bit out of place. So, is there an easy way to repaint without replacing?

The gloss porcelain will not accept paint. You can buy a new toilet and install it yourself pretty cheaply and easily (I’ve done the toilet replacement thing several times, and its easy – and I’m not that handy). A plain white toilet will work with other colored fixtures, if you’re trying to save the most money.
I am going to say this as tactfully as I can….
“it will look like hell”if you try and paint it, you will cry in your paint.
